During February 2025, Lower Murray Water will be undertaking a water main renewal in Willow Grove and the adjoining water main on the northern side of Walnut Avenue.

The anticipated start date is Monday 10 February 2025.

The existing water mains, originally laid in 1950, have now reached the end of their serviceable life. Proactive renewal of the water mains will reduce the likelihood of disruptions as a result of leaks.

To facilitate this necessary work, there will be the need for staged restrictions to parking in the immediate area. However, please rest assured that access to businesses in the affected areas will be maintained. Footpaths will remain open, except for short periods when specific localised tapping operations will be carried out.

The existing water mains, laid in 1950, have reached the end of their serviceable life. Proactive renewal of the water mains will reduce the likelihood of disruptions as a result of leaks.

The works will be conducted during February 2025. Our anticipated start date is Monday 10 February 2025 and works are expected to be completed within four weeks. We will strive to complete the works as quickly as possible while ensuring works are carried out to a high standard.

Once the works commence, staged parking restrictions will occur as works progress. Appropriate traffic controls will be put in place to ensure the safety of residents, customers and workers and to ensure access to properties is maintained.

Yes, footpaths will remain open, and customers will have access to businesses throughout the works.

We will endeavour to minimise the likelihood of damage to footpaths and nature strip sprinkler systems; however, rest assured any damage to footpaths, sprinkler pipes and fittings will be rectified as a part of our works.

There will be short interruptions in water supply during the connection of properties to the new main. These disruptions will be kept to a minimum and customers will be notified prior to any planned interruptions. Lower Murray Water will work with businesses to ensure any impact to their operations is minimised.

We value your input. Our team will be reaching out to affected residents to gather feedback and tailor our approach to minimise disruptions. Residents and business owners with any concerns leading up to the works can contact David Zacher on 0477 561 187 or by email at david.zacher@lmw.vic.gov.au . Once works have commenced, any concerns can be directed to Michael Hura, Team Leader Civil Maintenance on 0436 387 106.

While we aim for timely completion, unforeseen issues or weather events may cause delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding in such situations.

Absolutely. We are genuinely concerned about our customers and committed to working collaboratively. Whilst we cannot eliminate them altogether, we plan to minimise disruptions to your businesses or residence.

Feel free to contact us with any specific concerns or questions you may have. We are here to address them and ensure the smooth progress of the project. Your understanding and cooperation during these works are greatly appreciated.
