These planned maintenance works are essential to minimise any re-occurring faults in the future.
Key advice for customers during planned water interruptions:
- Fill up any water jugs or bottles for drinking and cooking.
- Fill buckets for bathing or toilet flushing.
- Those with evaporative air conditioners will not be able to use the water function on their systems during the shutdown period.
- If you have pets, fill up their water bowl prior to the water supply shut down.
- Do not attempt to use appliances such as your dishwasher or washing machine during the shutdown.
Once your water is back on:
- It may take a couple of minutes for the system to re-gain pressure, so you may have to run the tap.
- If your water runs cloudy or discoloured, run the tap for 5-10 minutes or until it is clear before using it.
