Piangil Urban Water Works

Lower Murray Water will be undertaking planned maintenance to the Piangil water supply on Wednesday 18 December 2024. The Piangil urban water supply will be shut for a brief period between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

These planned maintenance works are essential to minimise any re-occurring faults in the future.

Key advice for customers during planned water interruptions:

• Fill up any water jugs or bottles for drinking and cooking.
• Fill buckets for bathing or toilet flushing.
• Those with evaporative air conditioners will not be able to use the water function on their systems during the shutdown period.
• If you have pets, fill up their water bowl prior to the water supply shut down.
• Do not attempt to use appliances such as your dishwasher or washing machine during the shutdown.

Once your water is back on:

• It may take a couple of minutes for the system to re-gain pressure, so you may have to run the tap.
• If your water runs cloudy or discoloured, run the tap for 5-10 minutes or until it is clear before using it.
• If your water runs cloudy or discoloured for an extended period of time, please contact 1800 808 830.
