Millewa Pump Station

On Thursday 18 April we officially opened the new Millewa Pump Station on the Murray River with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

LMW Board Deputy Chair Warren Lloyd commenced the official proceedings acknowledging what this new infrastructure means to the Millewa community and our Lake Cullulleraine private diverters.

Warren Lloyd, Paul Northey, Principal Contractor Mike Jenner from Makar Group, Tonkin Consulting’s, Andrew Seaton-Stewart and Datacall Telemetry/Sunraysia Engineering Consulting owner, Sam Primarano came together to cut the ceremonial ribbon.

We were also lucky enough to have members and volunteers from the Sunraysia Steam Preservation Society along who got the old steam engines running to celebrate how infrastructure has progressed.
