Langtree Avenue and Eighth Street Water Main Upgrades

time Completed

During October and November 2023, we undertook an essential water main replacement on the eastern side of Langtree Avenue between Seventh and Eighth Street, and then along the northern side of Eighth Street between Langtree Avenue and Deakin Avenue.

The previous water main, originally laid in 1957, has reached the end of its serviceable life. Taking proactive measures to replace it is vital to reduce the risk of more frequent unplanned disruptions due to leaks and bursts.

Works were completed on Friday 17 November and all traffic control has been removed and parking back is now back to normal.

We would like to thank all the business owners and the community for your patience while we undertook these essential works.
