We understand the significant strain some individuals, families and businesses may be experiencing in the current economic climate.

We’re committed to supporting those who need some extra help. If you are experiencing financial difficulties and need help with your rural or urban water bill, we encourage you to contact our Customer Support Team to discuss the support options available to you.

So that everyone is paying their fair share, starting from June, Lower Murray Water will be reviewing accounts and will undertake debt recovery action, including the restriction and/or suspension of supply for customers with significant unpaid debts. Unpaid debts increase costs to all our customers, and unfairly burden those customers who are doing the right thing.

Urban and rural customers who have unpaid debts owing for more than 6 months may face restriction of supply protocols or legal action, details of these can be found in our customer charters. Our charters are available on our website.

We will always make every effort to contact you to resolve your overdue account before taking any action.
