To make sure our pipes and channels can deliver water to a rural property, you need to apply for hydraulic assessment.
This kind of assessment is needed before we can supply water for:
- a new property development
- a property redevelopment
- a subdivision
- a termination
- domestic and stock use.
How to apply
To apply, complete the Application for a hydraulic assessment form (PDF).
If you are not the owner of the property, you also need to complete a Privacy Consent form (PDF) before we can process your application.

Submit your application:
- by email – scan the completed application form and email to applications@lmw.vic.gov.au
- by mail – to our postal address
- in person – at our Mildura, Kerang or Swan Hill offices during opening hours.
