Using the capacity sharing tool in WaterNow

Placing an order
Irrigation customers’ Delivery Share (DS) entitlement (ML/7 days) is allocated to outlets and displayed under ‘Place an Order’ on the water ordering page. If a customer has more than one outlet, Delivery Share may be split between them.
Orders for an outlet in each week ends on a Friday and are initially limited to the volume displayed in the Volume Limit (ML) column. Delivery Share entitlement (ML/7 days) may be used as the Volume Limit (ML).
‘End Date’ for both weeks in the ordering window is shown in the table.
‘Used Total’ (ML) is the volume of placed orders falling in each week. ‘Used Total’ updates as orders are placed, cancelled, or edited.
Water may not be available at your preferred time each week and it may be necessary to consider alternative watering times. The water ordering grid displays when water ordering capacity is available.
Standby water
Capacity remaining in the system within 48 hours of delivery time may be ordered, regardless of whether the full Volume Limit for an outlet has been ordered – available water will appear in green on the ordering page. The whole order must fall within the 48 hours to be placed as a Standby order.
Placing a ‘Standby’ order may push remaining Volume Limit into the negative. If remaining Volume Limit is negative, attempts to edit other orders outside of the Standby period will be rejected, however the other orders may be cancelled outright.
